We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in home care settings. Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Follow care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring that all aspects of their care are met. Report any changes.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
* Engage in regular training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of care.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
* A valid driving licence is essential.
* Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using care management software.
* A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential qualities for this role.
