Maintenance Engineer - Electrical
Location: Mobile - Inverness Area
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Contract: Full time Permanent

Your new role
What you’ll do:
1. To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Specification
2. Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and NHS Highland
3. To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work either independently
4. Service and repair of lighting and power distribution systems
5. Reactive repairs to all types of lighting systems and power distribution systems
6. Service and repair of motors and pumps
7. Service and repair of fan coil units and associated systems
8. Service and repair to HVAC control panels
9. Undertake and perform Electrical AP duties in line with specific NHS SHTM regulations (training will be provided)
10. Competent on BMS control systems
11. Competent PAT tester
12. To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of theClient and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group
13. To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools
14. To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety
15. Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal
16. To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the administrator or tradesmen of any follow up action that may be required
17. To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365 day cover to the Facilities
18. To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate
19. To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services
20. To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements.
About you:
21. Qualified tradesman/extensive experience of property maintenance gained in either the Public or Private sector
22. SQA Certificate in electrical installation parts one and two (or approved equivalent, including 17th regulations).
23. Experience in electrical power distribution systems/ lighting systems
24. Experience in H V A C control systems
25. Electrical Testing/Desirable
26. Raise Permits to Work for Sub-contractors for attending on-site
27. Carry out Site Inductions of Contractors visiting site and refreshers when required.
28. Working within RFM safety Standards and understanding SHE Policies and Procedures
29. The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check before starting in the job
Who we’re looking for:
The post holder will work on their own, alongside Client Representatives, with responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality property maintenance service to all facilities on site. They will form part of the wider In-house Maintenance Team with a designated core skill and will be expected to lead in this area but will also be expected to undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder’s range of competence.
