Location: Southwark Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: September 2025 We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Practitioner to join a highly regarded primary school in Southwark. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic EYFS setting with children at the start of their educational journey. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute to a thriving and supportive team environment focused on children’s development, well-being, and learning. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and challenge children within the EYFS framework. Support children’s development in all areas of the curriculum, including communication, literacy, numeracy, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development. Plan and prepare stimulating activities that foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Observe and assess children’s progress regularly and use this information to inform next steps in planning. Provide a caring, supportive, and inclusive environment that ensures each child feels valued and safe. Work alongside the EYFS team to develop and implement new initiatives that enhance children’s learning experiences. Build positive relationships with parents, offering feedback and guidance to support learning at home. Maintain a high standard of classroom management, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment. Previous experience working in an EYFS setting, with a good understanding of child development. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents. A caring, compassionate approach to working with children, with a focus on their overall well-being and development.
