ABOUT KATALYSYS

Katalysys is a specialist prudential risk advisory and risk tech firm dedicated to helping banks to strengthen risk management, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. We combine deep domain expertise with innovative technology to deliver solutions that are analytically robust, commercially relevant, and designed for the realities of modern banking risk management.

Our flagship platform, k-alm®, supports Finance and Risk teams in addressing critical areas such as liquidity risk, capital adequacy, interest rate risk, and performance management. As a growing and entrepreneurial organisation, Katalysys offers talented professionals the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, take real ownership, and grow alongside the business.

THE PRODUCT: k-alm®

k-alm is Katalysys’s integrated risk management platform, designed to meet the evolving needs of banks’ Finance and Team functions. The platform comprises five core modules - Liquidity Stress Testing, Capital Stress Testing, Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), Liquidity Risk Management, and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), providing institutions with a unified and analytically rigorous view of capital & liquidity risks, regulatory positioning, and financial performance.

k-alm is a strategically important and fast-evolving product at the heart of Katalysys’s commercial offering. The Product Manager will serve as the custodian of the product vision, roadmap, and delivery, working closely with bank clients, internal development teams, and subject matter experts across Risk and Finance.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Product Strategy & Roadmap

* Own and drive the end-to-end product roadmap for k-alm, setting clear priorities aligned with client needs, regulatory developments, and commercial objectives.
* Translate market insight, client feedback, and internal strategic goals into a coherent product vision and phased delivery plan.
* Ensure the roadmap reflects the evolving prudential and regulatory landscape relevant to bank Finance and Risk functions, including areas such as IRRBB, ICAAP/ILAAP, Basel reform, liquidity risk, and capital adequacy.

Requirements, Analysis & Acceptance Criteria

* Conduct in-depth analysis and structured discussions with Finance and Risk professionals at client banks to elicit, validate, and document product requirements.
* Convert complex business, regulatory, and functional needs into clear product features, user stories, and detailed functional specifications.
* Define robust and testable acceptance criteria for each module and feature to ensure development output meets business, client, and regulatory expectations.
* Produce and maintain comprehensive product and module documentation as the authoritative reference point for development, testing, implementation, and support teams.

Product Ownership & Delivery

* Act as Product Owner for k-alm, working closely with development teams across sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritisation, release planning, and delivery management.
* Manage and prioritise the product backlog, making clear trade-off decisions to maximise product value and maintain delivery momentum.
* Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood, built correctly, and delivered to a high standard.
* Oversee the support and feedback loop, ensuring client issues are triaged effectively and incorporated into the product improvement cycle where appropriate.

Commercial Viability & Stakeholder Engagement

* Assess and ensure the commercial viability of product decisions by balancing development cost, client value, scalability, competitive positioning, and strategic relevance.
* Engage with clients and prospects as a trusted product authority, building confidence in the k-alm platform and gathering insight to inform future development.
* Collaborate with sales, advisory, and leadership teams to support business development, demonstrations, proposals, and RFP responses.
* Help articulate the value proposition of k-alm clearly and credibly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Overall Product Success

* Take full accountability for the overall success of k-alm, from product definition and feature development through to client adoption, satisfaction, retention, and long-term market relevance.
* Monitor product performance, usage trends, client feedback, and enhancement opportunities to support continuous improvement.
* Champion quality, usability, analytical integrity, and regulatory accuracy across all aspects of the platform.
* Ensure strong coordination across development, support, and business teams to deliver a product that is fit for purpose and positioned for sustained success.
