Derby, Derbyshire (with travel to our Erith, Basingstoke and Leeds sites at least once a quarter)

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join us at our Derby site (DE65 6BE) on a full-time, permanent basis. The working schedule is predominantly Monday - Friday, working 07:00 to 16:00 (9 hour shifts) with some level of flexibility.

The Role
As the Operations Manager at our Derby site, you will oversee warehouse operations and ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations through continuous improvement.
Specifically, you’ll deliver best practice in warehouse processes for our customers and manage the WMS (Warehouse Management System) to ensure we are compliant with our contractual agreements. You’ll also ensure that WMS processes are completed at all relevant locations and ASN (Advanced Shipping Notices) are processed in line with agreed targets.
Overseeing goods picking through accurate instructions and quarterly checks, you will implement warehouse projects, support new implementation activities and take budgetary responsibility for warehousing.
You will regularly meet with key team members and colleagues and support communication with concerns, issues and variances, enabling line managers to take action where needed.
Additionally, you will:
- Contribute to customer reviews
- Follow HR processes, including ER, absences, performance, etc.
- Ensure we remain 5S compliant
- Deliver our programme of H&S monitoring and improvement
About You
To be considered as our Operations Manager, you will need:
- Previous supervisory experience and/or experience leading a team
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages and email
- The ability to prioritise your workload and effectively manage multiple tasks
