To manage a portfolio of multinational clients, including large corporates with complex transfer pricing arrangements across various industries, ensuring excellent client service and identifying further work opportunities. The role involves working on compliance and advisory projects such as transfer pricing policy design and implementation, documentation, benchmarking, tax authority audits, and debt defense/ATCAs. Additionally, you will actively participate in business development activities, including preparing proposals and attending networking events. The key objective is to contribute significantly to the development and success of the transfer pricing services at the Reading office and across the firm.

Responsibilities:
* Act as the main point of contact for some clients, responding promptly to their requests.
* Manage a portfolio of transfer pricing clients, providing advice, reviewing documentation, reports, and memos prepared by team members, and maintaining strong client relationships with a focus on excellent service.
* Build productive relationships with peers across other RSM International member firms.
* Identify and advise on implementation and planning opportunities.
* Manage each assignment according to the firm’s risk procedures, confirm arrangements with clients, including billing, and ensure timely recovery of work.
* Research and prepare proposals for new work and participate in meetings or presentations to prospective clients.
* Ensure client transfer pricing compliance with domestic and international statutory requirements.
* Collaborate with other teams and service lines, developing knowledge of the firm’s services to identify issues and recommend specialist support.
* Maintain advanced technical knowledge through reading and courses to meet professional CPD requirements.
* Manage your work-in-progress and billing efficiently.
* Supervise and develop staff, including onboarding, training, and appraisals.
* Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
* Brief junior staff on client instructions, supervise work, and ensure quality standards are met.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by line managers or partners within the scope of the role.
About the ideal candidate
The successful candidate will possess strong transfer pricing knowledge, including international tax considerations, project management experience, and business development skills.
* High educational qualification (e.g., degree or equivalent).
* Experience at Assistant Manager or Manager level, or the ability to demonstrate the necessary skills for the role.
* Proven experience advising on complex transfer pricing projects and preparing OECD and locally compliant documentation (e.g., master file, local files, benchmarking) for multinational groups.
* Experience in proactive client management, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and project management capabilities.
* Ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within budget and deadlines.
