Registered Dental Nurse (Band 4, Fixed Term)
Location: Edinburgh Dental Institute & Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Pan‑Lothian region.
Role: 37 hours per week, full‑time, fixed‑term 1 year.
This role supports the dental team by providing efficient and effective clinical and administrative assistance within the Oral Health Service.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical support to dental professionals during patient appointments.
* Maintain and manage patient records and dental equipment.
* Assist in the planning and execution of public holiday shifts to support unscheduled care services.
* Collaborate with team members to deliver high quality patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Experienced registered dental nurse with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Willingness to work public holiday shifts (compensated via enhanced remuneration agreement).
* Vulnerability‑protected group (PVG) Scheme membership/record, or a demonstrated commitment to obtaining it before starting.
