Technical Support Engineer

A long-standing business in Brecon is looking to expand their technical support team due to increased customer demand and new business wins.
This customer-focused business seeks a ‘cloud-first’ Technical Support Engineer (primarily focused on the Microsoft platform). Working with a small team, you will help realize the business potential, provide exceptional service to clients, and contribute to the company's development and brand.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provisioning, configuring, supporting, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services, especially Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
* Delivering IT projects such as email migrations, Intune deployments, firewall installations, email threat protection, internet connectivity, and VoIP.
* Managing email and network security.
* Monitoring and maintaining client networks proactively and reactively.
* Applying security updates and upgrades to desktops and laptops.
* Providing technical support to end-users with varying IT knowledge levels.
* Responding to support requests within SLAs.
* Managing client expectations and ensuring issues are resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
Experience Required:
* Experience in a customer-facing IT support environment.
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
* Experience delivering IT support remotely and on-site.
* Expertise in Microsoft 365 suite (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Azure AD) and their management tools.
* Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Windows file share administration.
* Some understanding or exposure to TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, WiFi, VPN, VLANs, NAT, and firewalls.
* Understanding of cybersecurity principles.
