Overview
HireGiant ltd are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. This is for a local haulage company. The driver will complete deliveries to clients across the UK. There is a strong possibility for the Class 2 Driver to be placed on long-term hires if performance is consistent without incidents, lateness, or infringements.
Responsibilities
* Deliver goods to clients across the UK using a curtain side truck or box trailer wagon.
* Secure loads in accordance with HSE requirements and driver regulations; strap loads where required.
* Carry out up to 1–2 deliveries per shift with occasional collections as directed.
* Work Monday to Friday with optional weekend work for those who want it.
Requirements
* Class 2 (C) entitlement on the licence.
* Valid Digital Tachograph card and CPC (Driver CPC).
* Safety boots and high-visibility vest.
* Experience with HGV2 driving and securing loads; competence with load restraint.
Working Hours
Start times typically between 06:00 and 08:00. Shifts are typically 9–11 hours. Monday to Friday with optional weekend work.
Hourly Rate
£17.00 – £18.00 per hour PAYE to start (Monday to Friday).
