Lift Service & Repair | Lift Industry
Location: Leeds, Yorkshire
Basic Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
Additional Earnings:

Optional callout rota after 6 months: 1 in 5 with £600/week standby allowance

+£5,000 per year if dual-trained in escalators

Marmon Lift Recruitment is working exclusively with a large global lift company to recruit a Lift Engineer for a fixed Leeds-based service route.
This role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining approximately 50 lift units across 3 local sites. There is no regional travel required, making this an ideal position for engineers seeking long-term stability and work-life balance.
Callout: No callout required for the first 6 months. After 6 months, an optional callout on a 1 in 5 rota, and a Standby allowance of £600 per week
Key Responsibilities
*
Service, repair, and maintain passenger and goods lifts across three local sites.
*
Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance in line with service contracts.
*
Diagnose faults and complete reactive repairs efficiently
*
Accurately report defects and recommend improvements to equipment and safety
*
Complete maintenance schedules and service documentation
Escalator Training & Earnings
*
Engineers already dual-trained in escalators will earn an additional £5,000 p.a
*
Engineers not escalator-qualified will receive company-funded first-response escalator training, enabling progression to dual qualification.
Ideal Lift Engineer Candidate
*
Currently working as a Lift Service Engineer, Lift Repair Engineer, or Lift Installation Engineer.
*
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the lift industry
*
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above (or equivalent)
*
Preferred - experience working with escalators
*
Holds a clean UK Driving Licence
