Key Responsibilities
* Planned Maintenance & Servicing – Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on diesel generators across customer‑owned and rental fleets.
* Repairs & Diagnostics – Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.
* Site Surveys – Conduct site surveys to determine service needs and maintenance requirements.
* On‑Call Support – Participate in an on‑call rota to provide support outside standard working hours.
* Health & Safety Compliance – Follow all Health & Safety policies and maintain clean, safe work environments, including company vehicles.
* Comply with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, 50001) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
Technical Background
* Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant Maintenance (City & Guilds, BTEC or similar).
* OR completion of an approved Mechanical/Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
* Proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets (FG Wilson, Cummins or similar) essential.
Core Skills
* Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
* Excellent communication abilities.
Industry Experience
* Prior field service experience advantageous.
Additional Requirements
* Full driving licence.
* Strong customer focus with the ability to deliver efficient, high‑quality service.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team.
* ECS/CSCS or CCNSG competency card preferred (training available if needed).
