Due to a healthy pipeline of work and ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven environmental professional to play a key role in shaping and implementing the company’s sustainability strategy — ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, driving continuous improvement, and promoting sustainable practices across all operations. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping and implementing initiatives that support the companies long-term environmental goals, reporting directly to the Head of SHEQ. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage the company’s environmental and sustainability strategy in line with business objectives. Lead on carbon reduction initiatives, monitoring progress and identifying opportunities for improvement. Oversee the development of key performance metrics related to sustainability, social value, and environmental impact. Ensure ongoing compliance and continual improvement in line with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards. Manage and coordinate green building accreditations such as BREEAM, including certification processes and performance tracking. Support the development of sustainability reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with departments across the business to embed sustainable practices and drive cultural change. Keep up to date with environmental legislation, industry best practices, and sustainability trends. Support the Head of SHEQ in setting and achieving long-term sustainability targets. Key Requirements: Proven experience in an environmental or sustainability Advisor/Consultant role within construction or civils. Strong understanding of green building accreditations (e.g., BREEAM) Good working knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing sustainability performance metrics. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Relevant environmental or sustainability qualification (e.g., IEMA, environmental management, or similar discipline). What's on Offer?
