Electronics Technician – Oxfordshire
We are seeking an Electronics Technician who is passionate about innovation, space technology, and making a real impact in the rapidly evolving space industry. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative technology that can impact global communications, environmental monitoring, and scientific discovery in a fast-growing industry. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that products are built and tested to high standards, working across the product portfolio, including flight hardware and research and development programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assembly of research and development products and flight hardware
* Supporting testing of future products and flight hardware
* Developing and documenting Manufacturing Assembly Procedures and Test Procedures
* Conducting detailed inspections of Mechanical Parts using in-house metrology equipment
* Collaborating with the Product Assurance team to define and document qualified MAIT processes when required
Required skills and qualifications:
* Strong engineering knowledge with experience in assembling precision components
* Experience using metrology equipment
* Understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of MAIT
* Experience developing assembly procedures
* Knowledge of detailed drawings, surface finishes, tolerances, and materials
* Pragmatic problem-solving skills and the ability to find simple solutions to complex problems
