Senior Technician - Process and Water Treatment

Duration: Temp to perm (initial 14-week temporary contract)
About the Role:
We're seeking a skilled Senior Technician to join CCEP Edmonton. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving process and water treatment areas and machinery, ensuring production targets are met in terms of performance, quality, yield, and environmental standards.
This position is initially a 14-week temporary contract with a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern for days, including initial training from Monday to Friday.
Qualifications:
* Qualified or experienced apprentice-served Engineer
* HNC in Mechanical Engineering or higher
* At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar environment
Key Responsibilities:
* Support new initiatives and programs as required
* Provide technical support for maintenance and critical cleaning tasks
* Ensure completion of asset care tasks as per Maintenance Execution Plan
* Supervise and support Operators and Technician Operators in maintenance activities
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis as needed
* Perform advanced preventative and breakdown maintenance to meet efficiency, availability, yield, and quality targets
* Complete complex asset care and breakdown maintenance according to the asset care plan
* Utilize the site Maintenance Management System (SAPPM) effectively
* Perform Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety checks, escalating issues promptly
* Follow stock and inventory procedures
* Participate in environmental and safety risk assessments when required
* Segregate recyclable waste material in your work area
* Follow safety best practices to ensure a zero-accident environment
* Maintain personal hygiene standards suitable for the food industry
* Conduct pre-use safety inspections on machinery
* Share best practices with team members to improve yield, quality, safety, and environmental standards
* Use line monitoring and trending tools to drive performance and escalate issues
* Operate machinery during start-ups, change-overs, and shutdowns as needed
* Support utilities and facility functions as required
* Perform other tasks to support team performance and output
* Conduct effective shift hand-overs covering safety, technical, and quality issues
* Participate in pre-shift briefings for operational communication
