The role
The HSE Safety Advisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, and for implementing policies and procedures to manage risks and hazards. They collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to integrate safety, health, and environmental considerations into all organisational activities.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Ensuring Babcock operates in a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible manner.
* Managing risks, implementing effective policies and procedures, conducting training, and investigations to protect employees, the public, and the environment, while ensuring regulatory compliance.
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based mainly at Hinkley Point with some travel to other Cavendish sites.
Essential experience:
* Previous experience as a HSE Advisor in a highly regulated environment.
* Experience working with Nuclear is advantageous but not essential.
* Extensive stakeholder interaction experience.
* Recognition by an industry/professional body.
