Job Description
This is a hybrid role where you’ll work from the office 2-3 days per week. You will also be required to be on-call for set weekly rotations.
Our goal at CityFibre is to unlock the digital potential of Britain by creating a broadband network that works seamlessly for everyone, every day. We aim to provide powerful, gigabit-speed connections that enable communities to enjoy life in full flow. We value our people's voices, ideas, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
What you can expect from us
We offer a competitive salary depending on experience, 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organization of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.
How you’ll change it up
CityFibre installs and operates Micro-Edge Datacentres (FEX) and Fibre Active Cabinets (FAC) across the UK. As our M&E Engineer, you’ll develop and deliver our colocation, datacentre, and FEX/FAC portfolio, utilizing skills in design, vendor management, financial modeling, facility, and project management. Your daily tasks will include:
* Supporting architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies
* Implementing the M&E FEX/FAC lifecycle
* Implementing monitoring strategies
* Acting as the escalation point for network issues from tier 3 and engineering teams
What you’ll bring to the role
You should have excellent mechanical and electrical datacentre design and operation experience, along with:
* 18th Edition Certificate
We seek proactive individuals who push boundaries. If you’re excited about this opportunity, we want to hear from you. Let’s change it up together.
Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging
We value diverse experiences and perspectives, which shape who we are. CityFibre is committed to providing equal opportunities regardless of background, including considerations of carer and family status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, gender, and gender identity. We also offer training and placement programs to support career changers, service-leavers, and returning workers to join our team.
