Location: Office attendance in Shefford is expected, but will typically be once per week
Contracting Authority: Government Client
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Clearance: Basic DBS
Key Requirements for Head of Revenues and Benefits
* Significant experience in a Head of Revenues and Benefits role (Head of Service)
* Experience of managing the annual end to end review of a Local Council Tax Support/Reduction scheme
* Developing and managing staff through a period of significant change
* Experience of dealing with elected Councillors, MPs & the Ombudsman
* In depth working knowledge and experience of the relevant legislation
* A proven track record of working at a senior level within a Revenues & Benefits Service
* A real understanding of how to apply digital tools within services.
* A strong communicator, negotiator and team player who’s outcome-focused, tenacious, and always thinking broadly.
* Energy, resilience, and a focus on delivery even when the going gets tough.
* Authenticity. Leading teams with integrity and treating others with respect.
Desirable
* Knowledge of the Civica system
