We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Biology to join a highly prestigious independent school in the Blackburn area. This unique 0.58 contract is structured across 4 days, offering excellent flexibility while keeping you fully integrated into a high‑performing Science department.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high‑quality, practical‑rich Biology lessons that stretch and challenge students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
* Utilise the school's state‑of‑the‑art laboratory facilities to embed strong working‑scientifically skills.
* Take advantage of smaller‑than‑average class sizes to provide targeted feedback and cultivate high academic attainment.
* Work closely with a supportive, well‑resourced Science faculty to maintain excellent department standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* A degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, or a closely related discipline, ideally with QTS/QTLS (but independent sector experience or exceptional unqualified specialists are welcome).
* Deep curriculum knowledge up to GCSE, with the ability to bring complex biological concepts to life.
* Happy to work a fractional 0.58 timetable spread across 4 days to meet the scheduling needs of the school.
