Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our client’s manufacturing or production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical or electronic components, tools, or finished products with precision and efficiency. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
* Assemble components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, or machinery.
* Conduct quality checks on assembled parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
* Perform testing on finished products to ensure proper functionality.
* Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
* Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve assembly issues.
* Maintain production logs and report equipment malfunctions.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
Essential Qualifications:
* Minimum qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (or relevant field).
* Higher qualifications in relevant disciplines will be an advantage.
Skills Required:
* Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical assembly processes.
* Ability to use tools like soldering irons, screwdrivers, wrenches, and measurement instruments.
* Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring (for electronic assembly roles).
* Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
* Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to follow instructions precisely and consistently.
* Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
