We’re creating this role to address a critical delivery gap at the heart of a major transformation agenda. You won’t just be delivering projects, you’ll be stepping into a highly visible position where your work directly enables strategic decision-making at senior level.
* Experience working in Higher Education environment
* An experienced generalist Project Manager who understands change management (not overly technical)
* Strong stakeholder management, especially with resistant or senior audiences
* Interest in developing toward PMO, portfolio, or strategic roles

This is not a “one-project” role. You’ll lead multiple, impactful initiatives at the same time, from operational transformation to regulatory change on HESA/Ofs.
These are not IT focused, they're more on business/process change. Current priorities include:
* A major timetabling transformation programme
* Implementation of a debt management system
* Regulatory and compliance projects tied to sector requirements
Every project is different. You’ll constantly switch context, solve new problems, and build a broad delivery portfolio.
2. A Direct Route into PMO & Portfolio-Level Thinking
You would be working closely with the Head of PMO, sitting in the Strategy Delivery Office, giving you exposure beyond pure delivery:
* Visibility of the wider project portfolio
* Insight into governance, prioritisation, and strategic alignment
* Opportunities to contribute to portfolio oversight and reporting
