We are looking to recruit a full-time enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our supportive Paediatric psychology team to serve the needs of young people and their families with acute and long-term health conditions. We would be very pleased to hear from applicants who are interested in full-time hours, or part-time hours of 0.5 WTE or more.
Specialties and Opportunities
1. Work in paediatric specialties of Oncology and Cystic Fibrosis, with embedded psychology services within the MDT.
2. Opportunity to collaborate with a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Oncology and be the sole psychologist in the Cystic Fibrosis Team.
3. Open to newly qualified psychologists at band 7 or 6 (if HCPC registered), with a pathway for development.
4. Experience in Paediatrics is desirable but not essential; passion for working with children, young people, and families is essential.
Location and Department
Join a vibrant, friendly, and supportive psychology team at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, with specialties in Diabetes, NICU, Epilepsy, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Childhood Obesity.
Responsibilities
1. Provide psychological assessments, outpatient and inpatient therapy, and consultations for children, young people, and families.
2. Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including medical staff, nurses, dieticians, and physiotherapists.
3. Communicate sensitively with families and team members.
4. Contribute to service development, supervise colleagues and trainees, and engage in audit and research projects.
5. Potential to supervise Clinical Psychology trainees and work with university partnerships.
