Your Role
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Land, you will take the reins on planning performance across our portfolio. This is your chance to shine as a strategic planner with a commercial mindset, navigating complex policy environments while enhancing land value.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning Strategy & Delivery: Lead and execute planning strategies from site identification to securing viable planning consents.
* Governance & Reporting: Provide structured monthly reports aligned with governance frameworks, including programme and cost variance.
* Budget & Programme Management: Own planning budgets and consultant spend, ensuring alignment with land agreements and funding structures.
* Legal Agreements & Planning Obligations: Lead negotiation strategies for Section 106 agreements and infrastructure obligations.
* Stakeholder & Authority Management: Maintain strong relationships with Local Planning Authorities and oversee consultation strategies.
* Risk, Policy & Quality Assurance: Monitor planning legislation and ensure applications are technically robust and policy compliant.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 10 years' experience in strategic land or residential-led planning.
* Proven track record of securing complex planning permissions.
* Experience negotiating Section 106 agreements and managing planning appeals.
* Strong understanding of local plan promotion and infrastructure planning.
* Commercial mindset focused on deliverability and value protection.
Leadership & Personal Attributes
