Your Role in Our Team
As a key member of the Ashby site Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) agenda. Our Ashby site is a bustling hub, operating 24/7 with over 650 colleagues, and is home to central Technical, NPD, and Business Centre functions. Your mission? To lead the development and execution of our HSE strategy, ensuring compliance, fostering a proactive safety culture, and driving continuous improvement through colleague engagement.

Your Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will:
* Lead the development and implementation of robust HSE procedures to ensure full legal compliance across site operations and strategic projects.
* Drive culture change and embed safety-first behaviors through innovative coaching and engagement approaches.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead a dedicated HSE and Facilities team to deliver site-wide initiatives.
* Identify key risks and manage budgets effectively to enhance the working environment for over 650 colleagues.
* Gain exposure to complex technical challenges and strategic site projects, fostering continuous learning and development.

What We’re Looking For
If you can demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and experience, we’d love to hear from you:
* In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, supported by a NEBOSH Diploma (or NVQ Level 6 equivalent). Ideally, you’ll be a member of IOSH and committed to ongoing professional development.
* Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills to effectively manage a team and influence across the site.
* Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food or FMCG sector, with previous line management experience.
* An IEMA Environmental Diploma is preferred, but we’re happy to support your progression if you hold the IEMA Certificate.
* A collaborative, driven, positive attitude with a passion for making a difference and developing others.
