Liability Claims Handler (Desk-Based)


📍 Milton Keynes or Kent | Full time in office (Hybrid after probation)

We’re working with a respected loss adjusting firm who are looking to bring in Liability Claims Handlers to support their growing workload.


The Role:


This is a desk-based position, focused on managing and progressing liability claims from the office while supporting the wider adjusting team.


You’ll be handling a varied caseload including:


* Employers’ Liability (EL)
* Public Liability (PL)
* Product Liability


Across sectors such as construction, leisure, social housing, and local authority.


What You’ll Be Doing:


* Managing claims from first notification through to settlement
* Assessing liability, coverage, and quantum
* Supporting investigations alongside adjusters
* Liaising with policyholders, insurers, solicitors, and third parties
* Keeping files updated and reserves accurate


Working Environment:


* Based in either Milton Keynes or Kent
* Initially 5 days in the office for training and onboarding
* Moving into a hybrid setup once established
* Working within a close-knit team, reporting into an experienced Regional Manager


What They’re Looking For:


* Ideally 5+ years’ liability claims experience (EL/PL)
* Strong understanding of claims handling and liability principles
* Ability to manage your own caseload effectively
* Open to candidates from broader claims backgrounds looking to move into liability
