Education and Experience Requirements
Other EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License with relevant aircraft Type Ratings required. Certification experience within an EASA Part 145 organisation is preferred.
Position Purpose
The Licensed Avionics B2 Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with maintenance, inspection, and legislative standards as specified by EASA and the Quality and Airworthiness Manager.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Act as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 146, as revised.
* Perform the day-to-day duties of a Maintenance Team Leader when requested by a Service Team Manager.
* Manage manpower resources, consisting of licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters, as assigned to a specific aircraft line or base maintenance input.
* Certify tasks they have been trained on and authorized to perform, including inspecting and certifying at Luton main base and other locations worldwide.
* Carry out other maintenance tasks as requested by the Maintenance Team Leader, including Category 'C' Certification for qualified personnel.
* Ensure maintenance commitments are fulfilled within the specified timeframes and inform relevant managers of delays.
* Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed fully before the end of each shift.
Additional Functions:
* Understand and share the strategic position of the department in relation to Product Support.
* Advise the STM of any difficulties or shortcomings in departmental duties.
* Monitor department goals, product delivery, and quality measures.
* Maintain personal and departmental standards to ensure continued success.
* Ensure proper handovers and attend stand-up meetings as required.
* Perform other duties as delegated by the STM or Department Manager.
* Promote and ensure the quality of workmanship meets EASA and UK CAA standards, including cleanliness and tidiness.
Other Requirements:
* Extensive line and base maintenance experience.
* Aircraft inspection and certification experience.
* Experience within the corporate industry is an advantage.
* Good knowledge of aviation legislation.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficient computer skills.
* Flexible working patterns.
* Organized approach to daily tasks.
