Job Title: General Manager Location: Central London Venue Type: Prestigious Heritage Venue / Livery-Style Setting Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 (OTE £72,000 - £78,000k) We are seeking an exceptional and experienced General Manager to lead the operations of a distinguished and historic venue in the heart of London. This landmark venue is renowned for hosting a wide range of high-profile events, from formal banquets and corporate functions to private receptions and cultural gatherings. The setting is steeped in tradition, offering a unique blend of heritage charm and contemporary service excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and presentation. Oversee the planning and execution of events, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver seamless experiences. Maintain the traditional values and protocols of the venue while implementing modern hospitality practices. Develop and lead a dedicated front-of-house and operations team, fostering a culture of excellence. Ensure compliance with all health & safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements. Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven experience in managing prestigious venues, livery halls, or similar traditional/historic settings. A strong background in high-end hospitality, with an acute attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in customer service. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with stakeholders and clients from a variety of backgrounds. Calm under pressure, highly organised, and able to deliver on multiple high-stakes events simultaneously. Deep understanding of traditional formal service, etiquette, and event protocol.
