About the role
We seek experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This role involves working with customers to develop their meat products, understanding local market needs, and providing excellent service.
It offers the flexibility to run a butchery without financial risk. Ideal candidates will have good product knowledge of all meat types, be self-motivated, and eager to succeed.
You will be responsible for
Maintaining high standards in stock management, food safety procedures, meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborating with the Store Manager to develop a business plan to grow sales and profitability.
Greeting customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and offering helpful service with a smile.
Ordering and managing stock, including stocktaking.
Leading a small team, including staff scheduling.
Cutting meat to order.
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
Coordinating deliveries or pickups.
Controlling waste.
