Support Worker – Durham
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Support Worker for a Durham secondary school. Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:30pm. Temporary contract.
What you'll be doing:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs. Assisting teachers with tailored learning activities. Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing. Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs. Working with teachers, support staff and external professionals to ensure students get appropriate support.
You need:
* Experience working with young people with SEN or additional needs
* Patience, empathy and strong communication skills
* Adaptability and reliability
* Team player approach
* Genuine passion for helping young people develop
Hours: 8:45am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
