Overview
Our client, Leicester City Council, is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join their Looked After Children (LAC) Team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Preferably have LAC-specific experience; we will consider candidates with a background in Child Protection (CP) or Assessment who also have some LAC experience.
* Participants should be able to manage an approximate caseload of 20 children and young people.
* Progression of care plans for children and young people with a plan of remaining in care, including consideration of discharge of care order and SGO.
Working Arrangements
* Full‑time role, with a target of two days in the office per week to build relationships with the team (subject to visits and meetings).
* Condensed or part‑time hours are also considered.

* Parking: nearby city centre parking is available and reimbursed.
* Role duration: this is a temporary role to fill a vacant post, expected to last 6 months or longer.
