We are recruiting a Senior Estates Officer - Electrical to provide leadership and strategic direction for the maintenance, operation, replacement and new installation of electrical engineering assets across the Trust estate.
You will review asset performance, prioritise improvements and replacements, and support bids through the Backlog Maintenance (Category B) Capital Programme. You will also work closely with colleagues delivering new capital developments to ensure electrical designs integrate safely and effectively with existing infrastructure and support long‑term estate performance.
The post includes participation in the Estates on‑call rota.
Your role will include:
1. Leading the electrical engineering function within the Estates Department.
2. Managing planned preventative maintenance to ensure safety, compliance and efficiency.
3. Monitoring and improving reactive maintenance performance.
4. Overseeing electrical asset upgrades, replacements and capital-funded schemes.
5. Advising on electrical elements of new capital development.
6. Managing budgets, resources and both in‑house and contracted labour.
7. Acting as an Authorised Person for LV/HV systems and lifts.
8. Participating in the Trust’s 24/7 on‑call rota.
9. Leading, supporting and developing estates staff.
