Nissan Formula E Team has been competing in motorsport and the FIA Formula E World Championship for many years and is looking for a Development program mechanic engineer to contribute to the team's development.
Role
The purpose of the role is to carry out the assembly, operational support and servicing of the development and show cars and associated pit and rig equipment day to day.
* Assemble, disassemble, and maintain cars, car components and other agreed assemblies and equipment, day to day
* Attend test, rig, PR or test events as required, whilst being based at the factory daily when not on track.
* Ensure that cars, components and assemblies are built to approved engineering specifications, referencing drawings, technical bulletins and building specs as distributed and that build checklists and build sheets are completed as required.
* Ensure all faults and issues are escalated to the Chief Mechanic or to the Technical Director following the process in place within the company.
* Identify and suggest improvements to components, team equipment and working practices day to day
* Operate necessary tools and pit equipment as required
* Build up and pack down garage / track setup environments as required.
* Maintain good practice, including ensuring components are packaged and protected when not in use, organized and stored in defined locations, topping up consumable stocks, and keeping equipment and bays clean and tidy.
* Record and work with performance measures to identify causes of downtime or delays.
* Maintain positive relationships with all departments and personnel.
* Work independently and proactively support team tasks.
* Complete tasks within deadlines, sometimes working outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays.
Profile required
* Previous race/rally car assembly experience required.
* Confident team player, familiar with the fast-paced and changing requirements of a test and race team.
* Ability to work independently and under own initiative, meeting strict deadlines.
* Proactive attitude and supportiveness.
* Ability to complete tasks within agreed time frames.
We are looking for a full-time person for our office located in Viry-Châtillon, France.
