Inventory Controller
Brackmills, Northampton

What will you be doing?
This role will provide a customer focused administration service on selected accounts. Working directly with the client’s customer service team to achieve delivery targets on orders as per customer requirements.
1. Reporting to the Inventory Team Leader, the Inventory controller will be responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
2. The inventory controller will also be responsible for ensuring that the operation runs as efficiently and as effectively as possible, with a focus on identifying process, system and stock layout improvements which will increase operational outputs.
3. Actively work on the warehouse floor to ensure good understanding of processes
4. Ensure Locked Inventory is managed at least every 2 hours, or as required
5. To ensure that any auto-generated stock checks are fully investigated and cleared
6. To manage and monitor replenishment process and effectiveness of pick-faces, making changes where necessary
7. Conducting empty location checks
8. To co-ordinate PI counts
9. To thoroughly investigate all queries and adjustments prior to any action
10. To complete spot checks on Picking activities and Goods In activities
11. Provide assistance with QC checks / VAS work
12. Investigate and report the reasons for unidentified inventory and return to stock
13. Ensure all stock is in appropriate zones
14. Support with reporting and data analysis
15. To identify and develop process, system and inventory layout improvements
16. Complete any additional task as requested by Inventory Team Leader / Stock & Systems Manager
About You
17. Able to understand and interpret datasets
18. Able to communicate clearly both written and verbally
19. Able to manage and prioritise workload with ability to work to strict deadlines and timescales
20. Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
21. Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
22. Experience of using CargoWrite or Red Prairie WMS applications with training to Basic Plus level or equivalent
23. MHE experience – RT, HLOP, VNA (Desirable)
