We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Store Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our bustling café. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food preparation and service. Responsibilities
* Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service
* Lead and motivate the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
* Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
* Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
* Implement training programmes for new staff members and ongoing development for existing team members
* Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and equipment
* Uphold the café's brand standards in all aspects of service and presentation
Requirements
* Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in a café environment
* Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation, culinary techniques, and food safety protocols
* Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel service is highly desirable
* Barista experience is advantageous but not essential
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* Exceptional communication skills in British English with a friendly yet professional demeanour
* Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if required; however, this role primarily involves daytime shifts during business hours
