Venatu Recruitment is proud to announce that an industry-leading client, who has been at the forefront of the Fire Suppression industry for over 30 years, is now in the market for 2 Field Maintenance Engineers. They pioneered the use of water-mist suppression in the UK over 30 years ago, paving the way for this new method of Fire Protection, which has become the fastest and most effective fire suppression method, saving countless lives and property over the decades. They pride themselves on being at the forefront of innovation, demonstrated by their sterling history and numerous industry awards. This has resulted in many major contracts, further cementing their status as the UK’s leading expert in water mist fire protection.
This is a full-time role paying £45k per year with a Company Van!
As a Fire Suppression Field Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:
* Performing all maintenance and repair work thoroughly, safely, and in accordance with all laid-down service instructions.
* Labeling system items removed from customer premises as necessary to identify the part and issue, and returning them to the Fireworks office.
* Ensuring that all necessary equipment and service kits are available on the work van and liaising with the office for additional supplies when needed.
* Maintaining professional relationships with customers and their staff and being accountable for your conduct as a representative of the business.
* Completing all paperwork, whether in hard copy or via an issued tablet/iPad, for each job promptly and accurately, and ensuring it is received by the Fireworks office in good condition.
* Reporting all call-outs to the Office as soon as possible.
* Maintaining all work equipment.
* Observing all company QHSE policies, procedures, and instructions, and reporting any concerns to the QHSE Compliance department.
The ideal candidate will:
* Be qualified to at least Level 3 and ideally hold 17th Edition qualifications.
* Have good knowledge of water mist fire suppression systems and the wider fire prevention sector.
* Have experience in similar field engineer roles.
* Demonstrate the technical competence and awareness to pass manufacturer courses on the equipment maintained and repaired, or have relevant technical qualifications.
* Be able to communicate effectively with customers and maintain good relationships.
* Be proficient in using mobile technologies such as smartphones and tablets.
* Hold a relevant CSCS or related scheme competency card, or be able to pass the CSCS Health & Safety Test.
