Job Opportunity: Temporary SEN Teaching Assistant – North London
We are currently seeking compassionate and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to join our partner schools in North London on a temporary basis.
Role Details:
1. Position: Temporary SEN Teaching Assistant
2. Location: North London
3. Start Date: Immediate / September 2025
4. Contract: Short-term/ongoing (with potential for extension)
5. Pay: £95–£120 per day (depending on hours worked)
About the Role:
This role focuses on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to ensure that all learners feel supported, included, and able to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Provide tailored one-to-one or small-group support for pupils with SEN
7. Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
8. Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
9. Adapt learning activities to meet diverse needs
10. Promote inclusion and positive learning experiences for all pupils
Requirements:
11. Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in school, childcare, or care settings)
12. Understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs
13. Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support
14. Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, pupils, and parents
15. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
