Senior Field Technician

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Field Technician to join our Materials Testing business unit and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Senior Field Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in site and laboratory testing of construction materials, along with knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices, is essential to thrive in this position.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
• Sampling and testing of concrete, soils, aggregates and bituminous mixtures
• Accurate and timely completion of test sheets, including all calculations
• Training and upskilling colleagues as required
Qualifications
To be a successful Senior Field Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
• Significant experience of site and laboratory materials testing
• Strong communication skills with a health & safety focused approach
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS card desirable but we can facilitate this for you
