The Role
As a Trainee Manager, you will undergo a 12-month development program to gain operational, service, and leadership experience, preparing you for future store management roles. Support will be provided by your Store Manager as you progress through the career pathway training.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the store in delivering an outstanding shopping experience, acting as an ambassador.
* Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and KPI performance.
* Provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
* Offer personalized service, including updates on products and tastings.
* Share your passion for products, manage tasting events, and develop your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualification.
* Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards.
* Participate in operational tasks such as stock deliveries, merchandising, and customer outreach.
* Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and safety regulations.
* Take ownership of your personal development and support junior team members.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
* Adaptable, resilient, and excellent in communication and time management.
* Passion for wine and willingness to learn, aiming for WSET levels 2 & 3.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
