Overview

Business Services Manager at Ashton Court Group Ltd – Lead Technologist. We are offering an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital transformation while driving technical excellence across enterprise solutions. This is a new role where you will act as a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues, influence major transformation programs, champion innovation, and foster a culture of technical mastery and continuous improvement.

You will have at least 10 years of commercial experience in technology solutions or services development within a Microsoft Partner organisation and a deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers. A strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, focusing on Microsoft’s cloud offerings (Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365) is required.


Key Responsibilities

* Define and own the architectural vision for Dynamics 365 solutions across the organisation
* Act as the senior technical authority within the Technical Delivery Division, guiding solution strategy and governance
* Collaborate with Architects to ensure project designs align with enterprise architecture principles
* Partner with the Architects team to ensure technical decisions support long-term goals
* Influence and contribute to the Technical Design Authority to ensure consistency and quality across projects


Delivery

* Lead the design and oversight of complex Dynamics 365 implementations, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
* Provide architectural assurance across delivery phases from discovery to deployment and support
* Support pre-sales and bid activity, including solution shaping, technical estimation, and proposal development
* Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, tooling, and technical standards


Technical

* Architect enterprise-grade solutions using Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure services
* Define integration patterns, data strategies, and DevOps approaches for scalable delivery
* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption aligned with organisational goals
* Ensure technical documentation, design artefacts, and governance processes are maintained to a high standard


Development

* Mentor Lead Technologists and senior developers, supporting their growth into architectural roles
* Lead capability development across the Dynamics 365 practice, identifying skill gaps and training needs
* Promote knowledge sharing through architecture reviews, community sessions, and technical leadership
* Contribute to the strategic development of the Technical Delivery Division’s roadmap and talent strategy

* Equivalent professional experience may be considered

This role is UK-based and requires visits to customer sites in the UK and to Ashton Court's HQ in Northampton. The position allows flexible working, with the option to work from home. Although most staff work from or near our offices, some work remotely across the UK. We welcome applicants from across the UK, particularly the Midlands; however, ability and attitude are more important than location.


Interview Process

Interviews are conducted in two stages. Successful applicants will have an initial 30-minute Teams chat with the Head of Department and another team member to assess culture fit. If successful, a second interview (up to one hour) will include a skills assessment and technical test. Full details will be provided with each invite. Final interview and offer are preferably in person at our offices but may be held via Microsoft Teams.
