Job Description: Control Panel Engineer
Serve Talent has partnered with a successful engineering business to recruit a Control Panel Engineer for their manufacturing facility in Watton, Norfolk.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform fitting and wiring functions in accordance with relevant standards, including EXHEAT standards.
2. Assemble control panels and mark out back-plates and doors based on GA diagrams, label diagrams, and product specifications.
3. Fit trunking and DIN rails to secure back-plate components, ensuring high standards and passing QC checks.
4. Construct bayed enclosures using standard assembly fixings, ensuring IP ratings are met with appropriate gaskets.
5. Manufacture copper wiring for power and earth systems following IEC 61439 standards.
6. Install door components and labels, ensuring they are straight and level, and support rails for wiring.
7. Attach completed doors to enclosures and install MCCB/Isolator handles.
8. Wire doors and back-plates according to schematics, ensuring proper crimping, ferrules, and labeling.
9. Install mains power cables with correct sizing and identification.
10. Connect power cables to components, tightening to specified torque and applying torque paint.
11. Install earth cables throughout the enclosure, ensuring proper connections.
12. Produce heat-shrink wire markers and component labels using dedicated printers.
