With over 15 years of experience, we pride ourselves on serving the best Fillet Steak, alongside a diverse menu that includes fish dishes, vegetarian options, and our famous Stonebaked Pizza.
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Gelsmoor Restaurant. In this role, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. It is a full time permanent position working approximately 9 hours per day over 5 days (45 hours per week). You will have two consecutive days off each week.
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety practices.
Prepare and present dishes according to restaurant specifications.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role.
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
Passion for high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences.
