Job Title: Security Service Architect, UK&I
Reports to: Head of Technical Partner Management
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Security Service Architect to join our dynamic team at Trend Micro, a leading provider of security software solutions and services. In this role, the successful candidate will work with our strategic partners to build, develop, and enhance their service and solution portfolio, using the Trend Micro security platform as the foundation to do so. Partner services focus on Managed Security Services as well as IT Operations services for the Trend Micro security management platform. You will serve as the primary technical liaison, guiding partners in leveraging our technology to meet their business goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Security Service architecture and development:
* Design and collaborate on comprehensive service blueprints with partners, strategically leveraging the Trend Micro platform capabilities.
* Ensure all service designs incorporate critical requirements from security operations, IT operations, and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
* Define and integrate key performance metrics and propose appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) into service blueprints to guarantee quality and measure success.
* Lead the definition of service building blocks and establish clear service deliverables for new partner offerings.
* Document and specify all necessary provider-side requirements, including technical infrastructure, staffing, and operational procedures, essential for consistent and high-quality service execution.
* Analyze and identify the unique selling proposition (USP) of each partner's offerings within the market landscape.
* Develop compelling and differentiated value propositions for new services to drive market adoption.
* Strategically plan and execute the integration of new service offerings with partners' existing portfolios to maximize synergy and market reach.
* Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners, including delivery leads, portfolio managers, and business development teams in the Managed IT Services and Managed Security Services sectors. Understand their business needs and align them with Trend security solutions.
* Technical Expertise: Orchestrate access to technical support organisation and provide technical and architectural guidance to partners, ensuring they can effectively implement, manage, and support our security platform within their service offerings.
Portfolio Management: Collaborate with partners to assess and enhance their existing service portfolio and identify opportunities for differentiation and value addition based on our security solutions and services. Assist in the development of new offerings that leverage Trend technology and services.
* Training and Enablement: Alignment of partners’ training initiatives to jointly agreed goals, supporting and tracking progress of same. Matching training plans to requirements from existing or desired partner status and competencies.
* Portfolio Management: Collaborate with partners to assess and enhance their existing service portfolio and identify opportunities for differentiation and value addition based on our security solutions and services. Assist in the development of new offerings that leverage Trend technology and services.
* Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse the performance of partner-led initiatives in the context of Managed IT and Security Services. Provide insights and recommendations to optimise service offerings, service delivery and drive mutual success.
* Feedback Loop: Act as a conduit for feedback from partners to our product and development teams, ensuring that the needs of Managed IT Services and Managed Security Services partners are considered in future product enhancements.
* Market Insights: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, the threat landscape regulatory changes, competitive offerings in the cybersecurity ecosystem and managed services space in particular to inform partner strategy and positioning.
* Collaboration & Teamwork: You will work closely with a larger team of security professionals across the UK and Ireland, as well as the wider European partner management team. You will share insights and best practices to drive the success of our strategic partners, engaging in regular feedback sessions, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This collaborative approach will not only enhance our platform offerings but also allow you to gain valuable perspectives from peers across different regions, ensuring that our solutions remain at the forefront of industry standards and client expectations. Your ability to communicate effectively and incorporate feedback will be crucial in fostering a cohesive team dynamic and achieving our collective goals.
Experience
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in cybersecurity or IT management are a plus.
* Experience: 3-5 years of experience in technical partner management, solution architecture, or a related role within the technology sector. Experience within a Managed IT Operations team in cybersecurity or Managed Security Services Provider.
* First hand experience in transforming a channel business from reselling products to selling solutions, enhanced with value-added services.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, technologies, and market dynamics particularly in the context of IT operations and managed services. Familiarity with API integrations, cloud services, and IT infrastructure is beneficial.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and adapt messaging accordingly.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and addressing challenges.
* Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Service Architecture: Experience in design, implementation and costing of managed security solutions, preferably in the area of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and/or SIEM/SOAR/SOC.
* Network: The candidate has an extensive network in the cybersecurity industry.
* Willingness to travel: The role requires sporadic travel activities for partner as well as internal appointments.
