Learning and Progress Support Worker – Raedwald Trust
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk or Ipswich, Suffolk. Salary: £27,115 - £29,957 per annum. Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm (part time hours will be considered). Contract: Permanent, required as soon as possible. Reference: 7935.
Based at First Base Bury St Edmunds Academy or First Base Ipswich Academy, you may be required to work across Raedwald Trust settings. The academies provide education for young learners who are unable to access mainstream education for medical or behavioural reasons.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality classroom support
* Deliver outreach support in mainstream settings when required
* Contribute to planning and preparation of learning activities and resources
* Support pupils with effective behaviour management strategies
* Be a good team player and build positive relationships with young people
* Maintain a positive attitude towards all stakeholders
* Be flexible, resilient and calm under pressure
* Work within an agreed system of supervision to support the education of children and young people
* Support pupils in-centre during the school day, communicate with families and outside agencies, and enable inclusion within community schools via advisory work during outreach
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant experience in a classroom setting or within a mainstream setting
* Ability to demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies
* GCSE English and Mathematics at Level C or above (or equivalent)
