IT Project Manager - Permanent
Location: Birmingham or Cardiff (Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site, including two fixed team days)

Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a well-established and dynamic project delivery team within a global organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-profile and business-critical IT projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full project lifecycle: design, supplier onboarding, planning, build, test, deployment, and lessons learned.
* Lead day-to-day activities of internal teams and external partners involved in project delivery.
* Develop and maintain MS Project plans, track dependencies, and report progress against key milestones.
* Own and manage the project RAID log, ensuring timely resolution of issues and proactive risk mitigation.
* Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Translate technical solutions and designs for both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Collaborate with IT, business teams, and vendors to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
* Oversee project reporting, planning, and budget management.
* Motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
* Ensure smooth handover to support teams with appropriate documentation as part of service introduction.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
* 5+ years' experience delivering application or infrastructure projects.
* PRINCE2 certification or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of application design, software development lifecycle, and infrastructure change.
* Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Desirable:
* Experience working with external suppliers, including large outsourcing providers.
* Background in professional services or legal sector.
* Familiarity with cloud technologies, SaaS delivery, and Azure.

* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Ability to build relationships across senior stakeholders and project teams.
* Skilled in project planning, monitoring, and control techniques.
* Understanding of procurement and vendor negotiation.
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
* Knowledge of MSP and PRINCE2 methodologies.
* Budgeting and resource allocation expertise.
