We’re a small team doing ambitious things. As we scale, we need someone who doesn’t just keep the engine running, they redesign it.
Role Overview
This is a rare, high‑autonomy role, not a support function. As our first Senior Operations Manager, you’ll be the right hand to the CEO and the architect of how loyalBe operates as a business. You’ll have the mandate and the freedom to identify what’s broken, build what missing, and own the outcomes from day one.
Your primary mission is to transform our current manual processes into a scalable, fully digital, automated operation. You will own the end‑to‑end “Order‑to‑Cash” cycle, proactively manage our financial health, and ensure our sales team has the data they need to win.
You won’t be inheriting a finished playbook, you’ll be writing it.
Key Responsibilities
* Revenue Operations: You’ll be the strategic connector between our customers, partners, and internal teams on all things revenue, tracking, planning, reconciliation, and growth.
* Grant & Compliance Reporting: We are a R&D‑heavy business. You’ll own the documentation and reporting for Innovate UK grants and R&D tax credit claims, ensuring we are always audit‑ready.
* People & General Ops: You’ll run & build our recruiting process, manage payroll, benefits and own vendor relationships from AWS through to CRM. As the team grows, you’ll build the people's infrastructure to support it.
* Sales Enablement: You’ll take ownership of our CRM hygiene, run team calls, and deliver accurate revenue forecasts and performance reports directly to the CEO. The sales team wins because of the systems you build around them.
* Process Architecture & Playbook: This is where you’ll leave your biggest mark. You’ll design and document the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that define how loyalBe scales, creating a living operational playbook that lets us grow without losing control or quality.
About You
* Detail Orientated: You don't just look at a spreadsheet; you interrogate it. You can spot a timezone mismatch or a VAT discrepancy from a mile away.
* Grit: You thrive in a fast‑paced environment. You are as comfortable discussing strategy as you are chasing an unpaid invoice.
* Tech‑Fluent: You are proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and have experience with Xero, HubSpot, or similar tools.
* Conscientious: You believe that “done” is better than “perfect,” but “accurate” is non‑negotiable.
* Highly Organised: You can effortlessly manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and workstreams in a fast‑paced environment.
* Systems Thinker: You look at a messy process and immediately see the flowchart to fix it. You are proficient in automating manual processes, with tools like Zapier, n8n or similar.
