Skilled Arable Operator - Norfolk -Competitive Salary + Overtime + Accommodation
The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Skilled Arable Operator to join a progressive and well-established 1,-hectare arable enterprise in Norfolk. This is a role for someone who takes pride in their work, understands modern arable systems, and wants to be part of a forward-thinking farming business investing in both its land and its people.
You’ll be involved in all aspects of crop production across a large-scale combinable cropping operation. Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will operate and maintain modern machinery to a high standard while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the farm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cultivations, drilling, spraying and fertiliser applications
- Combining and harvest operations
- Grain handling and storage management
- Machinery maintenance and workshop duties
- Record keeping and compliance support
- Assisting with environmental stewardship work where required
The Candidate
- Has proven experience in arable farming
- Is confident operating modern GPS-equipped machinery
- Holds PA1/PA2 (PA4 desirable)
- Has strong mechanical skills and attention to detail
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Takes a proactive, positive approach with a strong work ethic
- Holds a full UK driving licence
- Telehandler and forklift certificates would be advantageous but are not essential.
