About the Role:
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to lead and inspire a team? We’re looking for a dynamic and reflective leader to join our Adult Social Care service in Stoke, driving innovation and excellence in occupational therapy practice.
Your Mission:
1. Ensure individuals are fully involved and empowered throughout their journey with the service
2. Understand each person’s unique needs to offer tailored, effective solutions
3. Identify and remove systemic barriers to efficient service delivery
4. Promote independence, connection, and well-being through outcome-focused support
5. Regularly engage with service users to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement
What will your responsibilities be?

6. Promote inclusive, identity-affirming practice across your team
7. Champion the occupational therapy profession within and beyond the organisation
8. Use critical reflection to enhance your own and others’ practice
9. Recognise and address professional limitations and knowledge gaps
10. Apply ethical, legal, and human rights frameworks to complex decision-making
11. Challenge inappropriate use of power and promote best practice in authority
12. Provide expert advice in complex cases and contribute to policy development
13. Maintain high professional standards and foster a culture of learning
14. Demonstrate awareness of effective OT and social care models and interventions
15. Deputise for the Strategic Manager and support fellow Team Managers as needed

Qualifications & Experience:
20. HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
21. Proven leadership experience in adult social care or community OT
22. Strong understanding of legal, ethical, and human rights frameworks
23. Confident in reflective practice, supervision, and service development
24. Committed to empowering individuals and improving service outcomes
