Accounts Assistant (12-Month Fixed Term Maternity Contract) Enderby, Leicestershire | Office-based £30,000 – £35,000 per year We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team at our client on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Our client is a highly regarded and award-winning financial services firm. The Role This is a varied finance role supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. Key responsibilities include: • Processing sales and purchase invoices in Sage • Bank, sales and purchase ledger reconciliations • Commission statement processing • Posting journals, accruals and prepayments • Supporting payroll processing • Assisting with VAT returns and monthly reporting • Maintaining accurate financial records in Sage and Excel About You We’re looking for someone who has: • A-level education (or equivalent) • Ideally be AAT qualified or Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA • 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills • Excellent communication skills Salary & Benefits • £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience • 5% employer pension contribution • 4x salary life assurance • Discretionary bonus • 24 days holiday bank holidays 2 additional discretionary days • Health Cash Plan • Free parking
