About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Social Sciences to join a thriving secondary school in Wellingborough. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a successful and supportive Humanities/Social Sciences department.
This role is open to both experienced teachers and ECTs who are committed to delivering high-quality education across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential). Subjects may include Psychology, Sociology, or Health & Social Care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and inclusive Social Sciences lessons across the curriculum
2. Plan, prepare, and assess student progress in line with national curriculum standards
3. Foster critical thinking, analysis, and an understanding of society and human behaviour
4. Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
5. Contribute to departmental planning and school initiatives
Requirements
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Specialism in a relevant Social Science subject (. Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care)
8. Strong classroom management skills
9. A passion for teaching and student achievement
