Job Description
As a Junior Buyer on womenswear, you will support the execution of product development with a clear understanding of COS aesthetics and customer needs. Your contribution to efficient component and product development will help drive growth and profitability within the woven department. You will assist in developing the best assortment for our target customer, collaborating with the Buying, Pattern, and Design teams, as well as the Product, Material, and Supply Chain teams.
What you will do:
1. Support in executing an efficient component and product development strategy, ensuring alignment with purpose, profitability, and sustainability goals.
2. Assist in planning, analysis, and timely execution of product development in line with department strategy and omni-channel timelines.
3. Collaborate with Buyers, Designers, and Controllers to align on pricing, value drivers, and budget targets.
4. Contribute to assortment planning and development of components and colours reflecting the department’s visual and strategic direction.
5. Ensure accurate component bookings and communicate sample yardage needs to the Supply Chain team.
6. Promote sustainable material and component choices across relevant products.
7. Stay informed on market trends and customer insights, sharing findings to guide product decisions.
8. Support and inspire Assistant Buyers, fostering confidence and professional growth.
9. Foster collaboration across Buying, Design, Pattern, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure workflow efficiency and goal alignment.
10. Take initiative to learn and seek continuous process and outcome improvements.

* Previous experience as a senior assistant buyer/junior buyer in womenswear (woven essential).
* Product Development knowledge, especially working with an in-house design team.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs and market trends.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills, proficiency in Microsoft 360 and PLM.
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
* Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
* Genuine passion for COS, sustainability, and customer-relevant products.
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
* Good understanding of external trends and competitor activity.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Head Office in London.
