All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date has been agreed.
Following your corporate induction, you will attend the Trust's Clinical Induction Programme for Healthcare Support Workers, which starts on your first day of employment. The programme is full-time, lasting two weeks, and involves travel to both Trust sites. It includes two supernumerary shifts in the clinical area (an early and a late shift), with other days being classroom-based from 9am to 5pm. If you do not currently hold a nationally recognised Care Certificate obtained in a healthcare setting from a registered provider, you can start as a Trainee Healthcare Support Worker, Band 2. Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust will assist with on-the-job training to complete your Care Certificate within the 6-month probationary period, with a minimum of 3 months. Upon successful completion, you will progress to a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker.
Please note that sponsorship is only available if you hold your Care Certificate. Applicants whose first language is not English must provide a language test certificate, such as IELTS level 7.0 with no element below 6.5, or an equivalent.
In case of high application volume, the process may close earlier than planned. We encourage early application submission. For any queries, contact the Recruiting Manager for an informal discussion.
